UCCCU is in partnership with aBi Trust to implement the 3-year Dairy Value Chain Development (DVCD). The DVCD project funded by the Danish government and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (EKN) through the aBi Trust runs from 2013 to 2015. The DVCD project aims at empowering the primary cooperatives to be strong, efficient and able to competitively access markets for their milk and milk products for increased household incomes. The project provides cooperatives with milk bulking infrastructure and technical assistance that will empower dairy farmers, cooperatives and Unions to run and manage a competitive milk collection and marketing business.
